'Pavazhavalli' - Revival Kai Korvai Adai Kanjivaram rust

The 'Pavazhavalli' saree is a revival of a 35 year old saree. We have named this saree 'Pavazhavalli' after Pavazhavalli Thayar (Mahalakshmi) of Kanchipuram. In this variation of Pavazhavalli, the body of the saree has podi kattam or tiny checks in a combination of rust and black. The borders are Kai Korvai borders with Adai weaving and have zari motifs of pakshis. While the pallu of the original saree had two bands of zari motif, in this revival, saree we have incorporated 4 bands of zari motifs of pakshis on the arakku pallu; this revival saree comes with a blouse fabric in arakku, unlike the original saree which did not have blouse fabric. The color scheme of this saree is very close to the original. Our respected master weaver has used his expertise and dexterity in weaving this majestic Korvai Kanjivaram Silk Saree. We have retained the design aesthetics of the original saree and enhanced it with contemporary design elements. This is a KV Exclusive saree
